Alpine World Cup returns to Chamonix

This season will see the return of the Alpine World Cup to Les Houches in the Chamonix Valley.

Over the years the the piste ‘la vert des Houches’ has been venue for the men’s Alpine World Cup with both downhill and slalom events taking place. This season there will be a slalom on the 4th of February 2023. The atmosphere at these races is fantastic with bibs being handed out the night before in the town of Chamonix and then the race in Les Houches.

Why not combine skiing with us at British Alpine Ski School in the Chamonix valley with watching the men’s slalom on Saturday the 4th of February? That way you can soak up the extraordinary vibe that surrounds these events. You could join us on one of our courses either the week leading up to the race or the week after. Check out our course calendar to see what we have scheduled.

Below are a few of our photos from the Men’s Downhill in 2016 which Shona and I attended. On that day we accessed Les Houches from Le Fayet via the Mont Blanc Tramway.
