Who actually are SnowSkool?

-        Around since 2003, SnowSkool are probably the most experienced outfit on the market, and have been running all kinds of courses, in selected resorts all over the world.

-        SnowSkool is a family-run business, with a surprisingly tiny team! It means it’s all hands-on deck; everyone gets stuck in and knows each student and their booking inside-out.

-        SnowSkool have high standards – selecting only the best resorts, accommodation, chalet staff and training providers like BASS.

Why SnowSkool work with BASS:

-        The BASS team are BASI ISTD qualified – this is the highest level you can reach and is seriously impressive and inspirational for wannabe-instructors/SnowSkool students.

-        The BASS instructors (who design and run the whole training program for SnowSkool) are often BASI examiners themselves. Being taught by actual examiners – so good it almost feels like cheating right?! But ultimately, this brings priceless experience and knowledge of what is required to the course.

-        On the course, you are treated as a student and resort community not a holiday maker… You could be a future BASS colleague after all!

Why the course is awesome:

-        They operate in only the finest resorts i.e., the Three Valleys! If you’re going to spend 11 weeks training and qualifying, it may as well be in the world’s largest ski area.

-        It’s 11 weeks, fully catered in an actual holiday chalet… Basically, imagine what you get if you cross: a chalet holiday X organised fun X life-changing qualifications X your future best mates!

-        The long course runs from January to March. This means you can have Christmas home (unlike a lot of ski season jobs) and that you have the choice to stay out in resort for the sunny, BBQ-filled month of April.

-        They also run an early-season, 10-day training course to achieve BASI Level 1, in December.

-        SnowSkool pride themselves in supreme organisation & behind-the-scenes wizardry before/during/after the course. You won’t have to worry about sorting transport, what to pack, season pass, accommodation, training schedule, exam booking, work experience, weekend activities, supplementary courses and plenty more.

-        In total, the long course amasses around 115 hours of expert tuition, 70 hours of ski-school work experience, the five-day BASI Level 1 exam, the 10-day BASI Level 2 exam, a two-day first aid course, a ½ day child protection module, an avalanche awareness course and a ski tuning workshop… and the odd spot of après to keep the social wheels greased!
