Spotlight on Victoria Salerno

Victoria Salerno, the artist behind Alpine Tones Illustration, creates watercolour art for your home and wardrobe, for mountain lovers and ocean enthusiasts.

Victoria learnt to ski on family trips every winter as a child, and after university joined the BASS team in the Val d’Isère office for two winters. Upon passing her ISIA as part of the BEST instructor training, she moved to Zermatt, Switzerland where she now splits her time between ski instructing and painting.

A career in Snowsports

Many BASS clients will fondly remember Victoria making reservations for them and organising their ski lessons. She came through the BASI system, gaining her early ski instructor levels before being selected to join the BASS Sponsored Pro-Training Project to gain the higher qualifications needed to work in Europe. Working in the BASS office gave he time each day to be out on the slopes to develop her skiing skills. ‘Right away we saw the potential in Victoria to be an exceptional ski educator,’ says Steve Ricketts (BASS MD) It is now great to see Victoria in Zermatt combining ski teaching and her creative talents at Alpine Tones. Check out her designs, we think they will make excellent Christmas gifts for ski enthusiasts.
