Ready for another season - what’s new?
We are excited and ready for season 2024/25 in Chamonix and the Evasion Mont Blanc. Our course schedule is now live and we are taking bookings. As always we have a great range of off piste development courses, all-terrain courses, private lessons, piste, bumps, ski performance for mountaineers and ‘skiing in the zone’. Check them out and be sure to get in touch if you have any questions. For those who have been with us before, we are really looking forward to skiing with you again and for those that are new, welcoming you and sharing our passion for skiing and the Mont Blanc region of the alps.
What’s new?
There is lots of investment and development in the ski areas and towns in our region notably Argentiere, Chamonix Valley and Le Fayet/Saint Gervais in the Evasion Mont Blanc.
Le Fayet - Saint Gervais - Bettex Gondola
One of the major developments is the brand new gondola (La Valeen) which is going from the railway station in Le Fayet up to Saint Gervais. This will then continue up to Bettex replacing the gondola that was there. Work is progressing very well and they have recently been testing the new gondolas on the lower section from Le Fayet up to Saint Gervais. To give you an idea of the scale of the project the picture below as taken at the end of June.
Thermes elevator
A brand new lift has been recently been opened taking people form Parc Le Fayet up to the edge of the town of Saint Gervais. This elevator is open from 6:00 am until 11pm and it is FREE. This means combined with the new gondola and the Mont Blanc Tramway there is a fantastic infrastructure linking Le Fayet with Saint Gervais town. Read more here.
Grands Montets developments
Work is well underway to replace the lifts at Grands Montets that were burnt down in September 2018. Last season the base station was demolished and now work is underway to replace both the lift from the bottom up to Lognan and then up to the Grands Montets itself.
