EU Biometric Checks

OK it's not as exciting as other news articles but this is very useful information for all our guests who are non EU nationals. Under the Entry Exit System (EES) non-EU nationals, including Brits, will have to register biometric information the first time they cross the border from this autumn. This will include finger prints and facial images. However, non EU citizens who are resident in an EU country will be exempt. For more info click here. 

ETIAS

And continuing in the same vain it is useful to be aware of ETIAS - European Travel Information and Authorisation System.
In the first half of 2025 people from outside the EU (who are visa exempt) will be required to have travel authorisation to enter most European countries. This will cost 7 euros and be valid for 3-years. To find out more including who needs to apply click here.
