Jaz has a humility that hides his experience and status in the ski teaching world, combined with an ability to cut through complexity to recognise the most productive development for you.

Why Ski with JAZ?

He has been teaching skiing since 1984 and has an unrivalled depth of experience.  He taught in Scotland for many years before moving out to Europe and settling in his favourite ski area.

He gained a Diploma in Elite Sports Coaching and became a mogul coach for the Scottish National Freestyle Ski Squad, coaching 2 British Champions and skiers who placed 4th & 10th at International Youth Championships.

He is as comfortable working with newcomers to the sport as he is developing seasoned, experienced, top-level instructors.  Much of his Sports Coaching Diploma was in Sports Psychology giving him resources and techniques that he is equally happy to share with blue run skiers or the international athletes he has worked with!

He was a long standing BASI Trainer, with responsibilities to train and assess instructors coming through the British system, he spent many years helping train the Trainers to train ski instructors! He is very much at the top of the profession!

Jaz is as comfortable giving technical input to excellent skiers as he is providing reassurance and confidence building to nervous skiers.
